Art, music and advocacies were seen and heard at the biggest hip-hop festival in the country last February 7 and 8 at the Aseana City in Paranaque. The gloomy weather did not hinder the eventurers to check out and participate in FlipTop’s 10th year anniversary.
Party with really great artists!
One of the most fun things that happened on the two-day event was having time to interact with the artists themselves. Fans can get tips about their craft from different artists. They can even joke around and eat with them throughout the event.
Day 1 started with performances by Yogang, Riding in Thundem, Sak Maestro, Kregga, Hash One. Then it was followed by a battle by DJ Well and DJ Savage. Organizers really know how to spice things up by including battles on the two days event.
Event-goers went even with a bad weather because big artists like Shanti Dope and Gloc-9 performed on the main stage on Day 1; while Bassilyo, Abra, Ron Henley, Bambu and others graced the event on Day 2. These big names gave inspiration to young aspiring hip hop artists today. They encouraged them to be true to their crafts.
A milestone celebration
As the FlipTop community celebrated their 10th year anniversary, it also signifies new hope to hip hop, arts, music and freedom of speech. They did not just mark a milestone year but also unified a community with the same aspirations.
