Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) brings you a timely show that will open up your mind. Showing for the month of September is, A Game of Trolls, #aGoT the MusicaLe.

A Game of Trolls is the story of Heck, a troll whose indifference makes him the perfect keyboard warrior for Bimbam. Bimbam is a manager of a call center that runs an online pro-martial law campaign. Heck is lacking attachment to any belief. Because of that, it can be used to make him unleash callous words to anyone who comments against martial law days. As a result, he was hunted by the ghost of Martial Law victims from the internet cloud. The encounters forced him to reflect on his own beliefs and his relationship with his mother, a former Martial Law activist.

Above all, the gist of the story is all about the remembrance of the Martial Law events. The story was made right for this generation. The moral of the story was delivered in a way the young audience will understand and appreciate.

However, PETA hopes that this play will be an eye-opener to our young people to think critically. At the same time, analyze and look beyond the memes and propaganda in social media.

Thus, it is more important now to never forget the painful lessons of the martial law and never again allow strongman rule to be set up in the Philippines.
