Top 4 Reasons why Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival should be on every #IAmAnEventurer’s travel list
Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival sizzles under the summer sky on its fourth year. I admit I am a sucker for these types of outdoor activities, yet I have never been to one. #IAmAnEventurer but my partner is not. Sucks. I can only lust on these IG worthy pictures. But it’s not yet too late for me to convince him. And definitely it’s not too late for you and your companion to go visit LIBMF 2017 this April 6-9, 2017. We outlined the following event information guide that will meet and set your eventure goals accordingly.
Let’s go through basic event information on LIBMF 2017
1. It’s not just a balloon showdown. It also incorporates a music festival.
In 2016, about 30 balloons went up in the air. This 2017, 40 gigantic balloons will give event goers a showdown in the sky. Just make sure to keep yourself hydrated all day long. It can get really hot in midday. You should reserve your energy so that when nighttime comes, you will get the chance to roar it out with the crowd.
2. Tickets to Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival can be brought at Ticketworld and SM Tickets
Happy go lucky eventurers can buy the tickets in advance for P300. Gold ticket price of P1,500 will be sold on the last day of the festival. Take note that all tickets are good for standing only. According to Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival FB admin, concert begins between 7 or 8 p.m.
3. LIBMF 2017 will also feature – wait for it – a night glow and amazing fireworks display!
I can already hear sighs of relief from those who doesn’t want to melt under the scorching heat of the sun and opt to enjoy the view at night time instead. Early birds can visit Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival when gates open in the morning, while night owls can fly in when the sun goes down. It’s a win-win situation! Amazing fireworks display will also cap of the night.
4. Other event highlights include morning flight, bazaars, among others
Those who want to experience flying high should be ready to shed thousands (no kidding). The price is yet TBD. For cheapskate Eventurers (this includes me), food bazaars and other concessionaires are spread throughout the area for you to linger during free time. The same FB admin mentioned above said that there will also be a mini zoo within the area! I guess we just have to find out for ourselves how that could contribute to our Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival experience.
Just a few friendly reminders to keep your essentials at minimum (sunscreen, shades, extra shirt or towel) to enjoy LIBMF 2017. Last time we checked (and I hate to say this part) drones are not allowed within the area.
