Will you fight for what is right?
Blades clashing upon blades. Metal against metal. Knights fighting for their lords and their own beliefs. Some fight for honor. Some fight for riches. But one thing is for sure: There will be blood, sweat, and tears. Those elements form the foundation of Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Set in the Kingdom of Bohemia (modern-day Czech Republic), the plot starts in the year 1403. The land falls into a state of turmoil after the death of the old king. His heir lacks power and influence to successfully secure the throne. The new king’s brother sees this as an opportunity for his own benefit. He kidnaps the king and ravages the land, reaping the benefits that only make him stronger.
During one of the raids, the unrightful king’s army attacks the village of the protagonist, the village blacksmith’s son. In the raid, the army kills the protagonist’s family, only leaving him alive. The protagonist escapes with his life and promises that he will have his revenge. The game follows his adventure for vengeance and, in the process, his efforts to restore the rightful ruler to the throne. After all of this, hopefully peace and order will return to the land.
