So what makes this game so great? To start off, the game overwhelmingly has so much to offer to its players. From its beginning until this day, Blizzard continues to keep its player on check by adding expansions. With this, the games are subsequently extended and players are given another reason to play their heroes. Recently, Blizzard announced another expansion for the game by releasing the official trailer of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.

The Battle for Azeroth

Strain has once again enveloped the Horde and the Alliance as a new chapter inserts itself into the book of war. As players, it is your role to swear your allegiance to Alduin Wyrnn or Sylvanas Windranger as you fight to defend or reclaim Lordaeron. The game follows right after the events that took place in the previous Legion expansion. In addition, two continents will be added: Kul Tiras and Zandalar. Each faction can initially only access one of the two, but players may access both once their characters reach level 120.

New Features

Now, let us begin with the expansion’s story. Both the Alliance and the Horde are able to gather troops from their own set of allies. The Alliance may recruit from 4 allied races. These are the Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, Dark Iron Dwarves, and Kul-Tiran Humans. To counteract the Alliance, the Horde also has 4 allied races of their own. They consist of the Nightborne, Highmountain Tauren, the Zandalari, and the Mag’har Orcs.

Furthermore, the level cap for players have increased to 120. This may be hard to grind for newly recruited characters so there will also be a character boost made available. The boost can enhance the character instantly to level 110 to avoid the hassle of grinding. However, if you do feel like grinding a lot, there will also be new dungeons and raids for players to venture through.

With new islands in the game, players are able to attack and plunder uncharted isles for loot. There will also be War Fronts to engage with. War Fronts allow a total of 20 players to cooperate and conquer key strategic locations through PvE combat inspired by Warcraft’s classic RTS system. Lastly, players will find new armor in which they can imbue with Azerite to unlock the armor’s full potential.

The expansion is currently available for pre-ordering and comes with additional contents. Aside from 2 new mounts and a pet, the players will collaborated items from other Blizzard Entertainment projects such as Starcraft II, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and even Overwatch.

Release Date

The expansion is set to release on August 14, 2018 for PC. Beta tests were made available starting late April 2018.
