Let’s crawl into the Best Ortigas Cafe Destination

Ortigas is now considered a hub of numerous establishments and increasing number of businesses. With people stressing out daily, they needed something to lighten up the load and something to energize them. One word — Coffee.

But it’s not just about coffee that we’re talking about here. We’re pertaining to a concept of café with an upscale setting that offers full menu and appetizers, too.

There’s been a resurgence of this type of restaurant in the Philippines. Let’s just say that Filipinos wants more than just plain coffee, sandwiches, and pasta. Admit it, we are gastronomic adventurers.

Here in our list of Café Food Crawl in Ortigas, you’ll get to tick off each one and discover the best Café in the area.

Café 1771

People working near El Pueblo probably knows about Café 1771. This posh café or might as well-considered as a bistro is one of the members of Chateau 1771 Group of Companies. Such establishments include Chateau 1771 in Greenbelt 5, Sentro 1771 in Greenbelt 3 and Serendra.

Their café menu has a selection of viands from a breakfast menu, appetizers, meats, fish, and salad. They also have 3 types of pizza – the Salbacho Pizza, Holy Cow Pizza, and Garlic Mushroom Pizza. The Oysters Rockefeller is also to die for. This 8 pieces of freshly baked Aklan Oysters is topped with spinach, bacon, and cheese will definitely leave you wanting more.

For their dessert, you must try their Sugar-free Carrot Cake. It’s as good with the cream cheese frosting topped in it.

Café 1771 is located at El Pueblo along ADB Avenue. For reservations, call (02)631-7340, (02)470-6559, or 0917 866 0442.

If there’s one café which should be considered on your must-try in Ortigas, it’s Mary Grace. The café’s name may not be intimidating as it may sound but once you experience feasting on its great offerings, you’ll be surprised.

Mary Grace has one of the most amazing and dreamy ambiances of all the cafes in Ortigas. From a regular kiosk in 2002, it is now a restaurant surrounded with fancy paintings, more like a papemelroti interior.

One of my personal favorites, the Mango Bene which is a layer of frosted meringue with custard cream, and fresh mangoes in between is also a must-try.
