Mt. 387
also known as Batong Amat is among the best hiking destinations in Nueva Ecija. Featuring a view of the Caraballo Mountain range, the surrounding communities and a multitude of small hills covered with trees and “kugon” grass. It is considered to be the Chocolate Hills of Nueva Ecija.

As Batong Amat got famous on social media because of its resemblance to Chocolate Hills of Bohol, mountaineers located in Metro Manila preferred hiking there than going all the way to Bohol. You have a chance of witnessing this infamous beauty first-hand on January 13 – 14, 2018 as Tripkada offers Mt. 387 & Aloha Falls Tour.

The name Mt. 387 was given to Batong-Amat because the area covers about 387.9 hectares when it was adopted by the Kalinga sa Kalisakasan ng Puncan to preserve the mountain.

With the aim of preserving nature and the natural beauty of Puncan, the locals encourages hikers to take at least two seedlings with them for tree planting. But during the summer, they much prefer if you’d water the plants instead because of its tendency of drying off and dying.
