Inspired by true events
During December 20, 2013, same sex marriage was legalized in Utah. This is when the state began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. This is due to Judge Robert J. Shelby of the U.S. District Court for Utah ruling in the case of Kitchen v. Herbert, which found that barring same-sex couples from marriage violated the U.S. Constitution. The issuance of those licenses was halted during the period of January 6, 2014 until October 6, 2014. As a result, following the resolution of a lawsuit challenging the state’s ban on same-sex marriage. On that day, the U.S. Supreme Court’s refuse to hear an appeal in a case that found Utah’s ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional. That same day, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered the state to recognize same-sex marriage.
Same Sex Marriage
Same sex marriage is a very controversial agenda that our generation is facing at the moment. In line with this, different people have different opinions regarding this issue. While some parts of the world remain firm about their stand to this issue, some became liberated. As a result, the state and church have separate opinions regarding the problem. It does not matter what one wants and what one believes, what matters is that we are all equals in the eyes of God.
