Cinemalaya 2018 is here!

Hear ye, hear ye! The most prestigious film festival in the Philippines is just around the corner. This film festival will open to public on August 3 – 12, 2018 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and various Ayala Malls.

Students, enthusiasts and spectators are surely waiting for the trailers or teasers of each full length films that will be competing this year. Everyone also would like to know who are the indie and mainstream actors that landed a part on the films. Some productions already announced the big names joining their films like Ai-Ai delas Alas, Eddie Garcia, Iza Calzado, Ogie Alcasid and many more.

 

2018 Official Full-length Entries

Here are the official full-length films for this year:

  2. Sa Pagitan ng Dito at Doon by Perci Intalan
  3. Musmos na Sumibol sa Gubat ng Digma by Iar Arondaing
  4. School Service by Luisito Ignacio
  5. Kuya Wes by James Mayo
  6. ML by Benedict Mique
  7. Pan De Salawal by Che Espiritu
  8. Kung Paano Hinintay and Dapithapon by Carlo Catu
  9. Liway by Kip Oebanda
  10. Ang mga Bisita ni Mamang by Denise O’Hara

 

2018 Official Short Film Entries

Here are the ten short films that will compete this year:

  1. LOGRO by Kani Villaflor
  2. SI ASTRI MAKA SI TAMBULAH by Xeph Suarez
  3. BABYLON by Keith Deligero
  4. JODILERKS DELA CRUZ, EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH by Carlo Francisco Manatad
  5. SA SAIYANG ISLA (In His Island) by Christian Candelaria
  6. YOU, ME, AND MR. WIGGLES by Jav Velasco
  7. NANGUNGUPAHAN by Glenn Barit
  8. KIKO by Jojo Driz
  9. SIYUDAD SA BULAWAN (City of Gold) by Jarell Serencio and Olivia Ranido
  10. YAKAP by Mika Fabella

The best short feature film will be awarded cash prize amounting to Php150,000 and a Balanghai trophy during the Cinemalaya Awards Night on August 12, 2018, at the CCP Main Theater.
