BTS is a South Korean boy band consisting of seven members ages 20 to 25. The following members are: RM, J-Hope, Jin, Suga, Jimin, and Jungkook. After various line up changes by management Big Hit Entertainment, the current iteration of the band was formed in 2013.
Upon their formation, BTS released their first album, ‘2 Cool 4 Skool’. The group’s name BTS, is an acronym for the Korean expression ‘Bangtan Sonyeodan’, which translates to ‘Bulletproof Boy Scouts’. However, they announced that last year that they were changing it to ‘Beyond The Scene’, as a part of a shift to a more progressive and mature brand identity.
