From being a movie about car racing… Is this going to be more action-packed instead?
A film that will feature Idris Elba playing a genetically enhanced terrorist, the film had already finished shooting its last scenes. This upcoming American action-comedy film directed by David Leitch and written by Chris Morgan, it is set to be a spin-off of The Fast and the Furious franchise.
Two years after the events of The Fate of the Furious, federal agent Luke Hobbs and former-British military turned mercenary Deckard Shaw must join forces in order to stop a new threat emerging from Brixton Lore.
Star Dwayne Johnson shared a message announcing the end of filming, calling Hobbs & Shaw “easily the most challenging film I’ve ever produced and starred in.”

In the trailer, the film sees Johnson reprising the role across from Jason Statham’s rogue mercenary character. Two opposing badasses from the Fast & Furious franchise who should definitely get it over with and kiss already.
There were multiple reports of on-set conflict between Diesel and Johnson in 2018, and the two haven’t kept their opinions about each other quiet. Johnson referred to the Hobbs & Shaw trailer as a tease for the biggest Fast and Furious movie ever could be seen as a dig at Diesel, who has not kept his distate for Hobbs and Shaw secret.
Somehow, it appears to make the Fast & Furious movies look tame as the movie will revolve around the reluctant duo taking on Idris Elba’s cyber-genetically enhanced villain Brixton, which, naturally, will see them jump out of a really tall building.
Meanwhile, The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby will be joining the Shaw family as Hattie Shaw, an MI6 Operative who seems like she’ll be more on the side of Hobbs than her own brother, Deckard.
Now, that’s enough. Excited to see this movie? It will be on the Philippine theaters nationwide on late July up to August this year!
