Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can —well, he’s far from home, alright.

If you’re one of the cult followers of every Marvel movies made in its cinematic universe, you’re probably confused with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man timeline. Spider-Man: Far From Home is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man and Marvel Studios. This film is set to be the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming and the 23rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home was released January 15, and offered the first look at Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, as well as the return of several characters from the greater MCU. Now, from the previous Spider-Man films, the villains were Harry Osborn, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom, Sandman, Electro, and Curt Connors.

For this Spider-Man version, many of the details surrounding Jake Gyllenhaal’s role in the film — beyond the identity of the character, at least — have remained a closely guarded mystery. Apparently that secrecy extends to Gyllenhaal himself, who used his first post on Instagram to reveal his reaction upon discovering that he was not, in fact, playing Spider-Man in the film. (Oooh. Shocker)

It is exactly 127 days, 8 hours, 43 minutes and counting according to the Marvel website until Spider-Man: Far From Home!

Spoiler! Spider-Man is getting a new suit when he returns to the big screen, and a set of photos and video that found their way online in October offered the first look at the web-slinger’s new costume. The photos and video were posted on Instagram by a pair of fansites that were able to get a look at the set of the film, and show off Spider-Man’s new red-and-black suit for Far From Home.

Also, take note that Far From Home will happen AFTER the events of Endgame. So, are you excited? The Spiderverse timeline may seem to be a bit messy but that’s okay. You’re still excited and anxious to see the movie!

Spider-Man: Far From Home is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 5 so expect this movie to be released on July 4 on Philippine cinemas!
