Taking Back Sunday will be in Manila on January 26, 2019, as part of their 20th anniversary tour at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.
Debuting in 1999 along with Simple Plan, Sum 41, and The All-American Rejects, the band is approaching two decades of lasting influence and relevance to rock fans all over the world. The members are neither just letting this significant milestone go by without a proper celebration and they no intention of stopping.
It’s unbelievable that at a point in time, this has to be unimaginable for the members of the iconic band themselves. Especially during their earlier years, it had to be unthinkable for these Long Island musical misfits that they would go from the past decade’s emo scene staples to today’s genre-defying rock heroes.
Taking Back Sunday was formed by guitarist, Eddie Reyes in 1999. The band’s members are Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), John Nolan (lead guitar, keyboards, vocals), Shaun Cooper (bass guitar), and Mark O’Connell (drums).
The tour is currently comprised of shows in North America, South America, Australia, and Asia, with more dates to be announced.
“We hope you can join us for what is sure to be an experience to remember,” Lazzara says, inviting their fans from all over the world to celebrate this special moment with the band.
If the nostalgia hits you when watching your favorite band isn’t enough, event and concert organizer, Pulp said the group will be playing its entire debut album, Tell All Your Friends during the concert.
