The film serves a follow up to “X-Men: Apocalypse”, in the form of its cast and character roster. The movie is set to drop on February 14, 2019, starring Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner as Jean grey.
As far as we know, the seventh installment of the X-Men film franchise is said to be the most faithful to the comic book.
‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ was originally supposed to be released on November 2, but it was later pushed back to February 14, 2019 due to scheduling involving the reshoots.
The Premise of X-Men: Dark Phoenix
In 1992, nearly a decade after the events of “X-Men: Apocalypse “, the X-Men become national heroes deal with increasingly risky missions. When a solar flare hits them during a rescue mission in space, Jean Grey loses control of her abilities and unleashes the Phoenix.
Jean will be taken over by a mysterious dark force called “The Phoenix Force”. She then becomes deranged and uses her telekinetic abilities for evil, which evidently serves as a threat. The X-Men must then come together and plot a way to stop her without actually harming her.
