Big Hero 6 is a movie that focuses on teenage inventors. It opens up with Hiro, the main character, participating at a robot fight. Tadashi, his brother, rescues him after things go wrong. Seeing his potential in robotics, Tadashi tells Hiro to apply for the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. Hiro strives to get into the school, perfecting the microbot technology he used in the robot fight before. Things go wrong at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology’s exhibit. A fire breaks loose in the exhibit area and everyone evacuates. Fearing that there are more people inside, Tadashi runs back in to save them. The exhibit area explodes, leaving Hiro without a brother.

A string of events happen, leading to Hiro discovering his technology being stolen and mass produced. He then investigates who stole his microbot data, believing that it had something to do with the fire in the exhibit. In time, Tadashi’s friends join Hiro in the investigation. They find out that Callaghan, one of the scientists in the exhibit, was responsible for the fire. The Big Hero 6 then decide that Callaghan must be stopped.

The movie ended with a bang. The 5 heroes Hiro, Gogo, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, and Fred saved San Fransokyo with the help of Baymax and their inventions. At the end of the movie, Hiro lost Baymax in a distortion in space. Baymax sacrificed himself to push Hiro and Abigail out of the space distortion. Hiro believed that he lost Baymax and that the only remembrance he had of his late brother, Tadashi, is the rocket fist of the medical robot.

Shortly after starting his classes at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, he discovers something clasped inside Baymax’s fist. It’s a data chip covering all the work and advancements Hiro and Tadashi spent on developing Baymax. To honor his brother and to regain his lost friend, Hiro decides to build another model of Baymax. The movie ends with the second Baymax booting up.

This is where the animated series picks up. After their fight with Callaghan, the heroes have made a decision to be a force of good. They continue their adventures fighting dangers that threaten the safety of San Fransokyo. To make things more complicated, the heroes still have other problems to deal with. School just started and the heroes have to deal with homework and tests as well!
